April update

Hi there,

The last few months were busy to say the least. That wardec slowed me down for a while, but I bounced back after that.
I redeployed the POS, and resumed my operations. Of course, I did some mistakes at selling stuffs at a considerable losses (at least for me), frustrating, but I've only myself to blame.
I may have lost around 600-700m in the past 2 months, and around 200m to suicide ganking. Yeeep, that's quite some money for me.

I finally rewrote my excel spreadsheet to something less static. It's now way easier to deal with BPO/BPC that consume more than the standard minerals, and I linked it to yet an other DB which keep a tab on market prices.

On the production side, I made my first T2 items a couple of weeks ago, and it seems to me that it's a more profitable market. I have yet to find a way to monitor the building price of some T2 items for which I don't own a BPC.
I had to invest around 250m ISK in skill books to skill up 2 characters for inventions purpose, and a bunch of BPO for advanced moon materials. Some of them could be built for a slight profit, some are sold at a loss at Jita, so, no points in building them.

And of course, the biggest news today is that Citadel has been released. I haven't seen it yet, and won't see it before a couple of days. I realized that I missed a lot of opportunities for that release, mostly due to a lack of funds, and by World War Bee. I can't do much for the lack of funds since I can't afford to buy a couple of 500m to 1B ISK BPO per month without hampering my activities, so, I had to sit on those plans. For World War Bee, well, my low-sec systems got stormed by Test Alliance please ignore. They destroyed most of the POCOs and replaced some of them by their own, with a 25% tax rate. We are far from the sub 5% tax rate we got when CO2 alliance was "ruling" that part of lowsec :/
Thus, I put my PI activities on hold from more than one month since I wasn't ready to pay a 25% tax on P3/P4. I missed the last part of the frenzy around PI materials in preparation of the Citadel expansion, very annoying business wise.

So, what are my plans for the next couple of months ?
_ plan my PI to do only P2 in low-sec systems then move the P3-P4 factories in High-Sec.
_ Finish some science skills to IV for at least 2 characters. (for a slim gain in invention result)
_ Find a couple of T2 items that could be sell for a 15 to 20% margin almost every time. (my bet is that it won't be ships)
_ Find a Citadel where the market is vibrant (later this summer)

I won't be one of those who will rush to build their citadel, I'm sure that a nice bunch of them will explode in the next couple of weeks. A lot of people will attack them, just for the LOL.
I'll wait and see how things evolve on that matter before planing for one (if I get there, I may decide to be a user of an existing one, if taxes are bearable.)

Oh well, I was supposed to post this entry yesterday, but I got caught by RL stuff and it was only close to midnight when I managed to crawl back home in my bed.
Earlier this morning, I connect to check on my inventions jobs, and noticed an eve-mail. And yes, I received an other WarDec from a griefer 2 men corp. damn it.
Too bad for my ME&TE research, I canceled everything once again (an other 100m ISK loss !), moved the BPOs to a NPC station and restarted the research there (100m again!).

Now what ?
Should I play less ? or focus on non-undocking activities ? such as that Project Discovery thing.
I could at least plan my new PI setup in low-sec, while monitoring Local in nearby systems for war targets with neutral alts.
And I still have a Civilization IV game runing since the last wardec, that I didn't finished :-)

I'm looking forward for large/XL citadels with manufacturing/research modules. Even if I pay a small fee to the owner, I will be almost imune to wardecs. I may even raise my corporate skills to provide hands to man theirs defenses if its possible.
